FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electrical engineering, particularly to surgical instruments. It is achieved by the fact that the surgical instrument includes a barrel assembly and a handle assembly, which in turn includes a mounting module for batteries and a battery pack, which is configured to be arranged in the battery mounting module so that the battery pack is in electrical communication with at least one of the barrel assembly or the handle assembly. Battery unit includes a casing, an anode contact and a cathode contact inside the casing and a discharge device for flow rate, which includes a controller, switching element and resistive element, functionally connected between cathode contact and anode contact, in its turn controller is made with possibility of selective direction of switching element with closing so that resistive element is in electric communication with anode contact and cathode contact. Thus, resistive element is made with possibility to ensure consumption of remaining electric energy from at least one accumulator battery connected to anode contact and cathode contact.

EFFECT: technical result consists in providing a reliable supply for a surgical instrument.
