FIELD: jewelry industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to jewelry industry. Jewelry item comprises base made of precious metal, setting shape and type of jewelry item, and insert of wood, placed in base. Base is made in form of rim frame with perimeter frame, bearing insert fasteners and bottom part, recessed relative to said frame and made through or with through gaps. Insert is made in form of plate with at least face side, on which there is wood painting under lacquer, rear side of insert is placed resting on bottom part of frame and is fixed along perimeter. Method of making said jewelry item is also disclosed.
EFFECT: higher durability of jewelry item with wooden insert is provided.
