FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for diagnostics of NOx sensor, connected to internal combustion engine exhaust gases cleaning system. Method of exhaust gases NOx sensor performance degradation determining is intended for engine (10), containing reducing catalytic converter (152) and exhaust gases NOx sensor (160) in supplied gases, located upstream of reducing catalytic converter (152). Method includes steps where engine is stopped to state of rest, estimating exhaust gases reducing agent in sensor level after engine (10) shutdown to state of rest, and indicating deterioration in exhaust gases sensor (160) NOx operation in supplied gas by means of flag sign establishing based on exhaust gases reducing agent level, defined by sensor after engine shutdown to state of rest. Invention discloses version of method for determining engine exhaust gas sensor NOx and system for determination of engine exhaust gases sensor NOx performance degradation.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of sensor diagnostics accuracy.
