FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Shock absorber comprises two support elements with side through holes, through which a wire cable successively passes. End faces of the side holes are made rounded. Fasteners of every turn of the wire cable spiral to the support elements are made in the form of recesses on surfaces of the support elements formed as the result of pressing. Recesses are octagons with identical opposite sides. Recesses are limited from below by a flat central rectangular section and two adjacent to it inclined side flat sections in the form of a trapezoid.

EFFECT: provided is higher service life and maintaining high stability of characteristics of the shock absorber during prolonged operation.
