FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of vibration protection of objects. Proposed vibration isolator consists of torus-shaped resilient member made of steel cable coiled in spiral, upper and lower support plates-disks with slots-holes made at angle from 5 to 30o relative to radial lines. Angles in upper and lower plates-disks are equal, but are pointed in different sides. Bends and tilts of inner and outer semicoils in combination provide symmetrical shape of torus-shape resilient cable member providing axial symmetry of plates-disks of vibration isolator. EFFECT: improved efficiency of vibration protection owing to elimination of side displacement with turning of plates-disk under action of object weight. 3 dwg
