SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electronic cigarette or electronic cigar. Electronic smoking article comprises an outer tube extending in a longitudinal direction; an inner tube within outer tube; a liquid supply comprising a nicotine-free liquid material, contained in an outer annulus between outer tube and inner tube; a heater located in inner tube; a wick in communication with liquid supply and surrounded by heater such that wick delivers liquid material to heater and heater heats liquid material to a temperature sufficient to vaporise liquid material and form a nicotine-free aerosol in inner tube; and also comprises a fibrous element located downstream of heater, wherein nicotine is distributed in fibrous element, so that aerosol captures nicotine when passing through fibrous element.

EFFECT: technical result is avoiding hot spots and excessive temperatures during drawing.
