FIELD: acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multilayer sound absorbing finishing materials and to a sound absorbing wall coating. Includes: (a) a support layer, made of non-woven material based on organic fibres, having a multi-lobe cross-section, (b) surface layer, made of glass-textile material, for which static air flow resistance, measured according to ISO 9053, ranges from 105 N⋅s⋅m-4 to 106 N⋅s⋅m-4, (c) a discontinuous adhesive layer, whose surface density is equal to 17–60 g/m2, at boundary between support layer (a) and surface layer (b). Invention also relates to a method of making said coating and to use of such coating for improvement of acoustic comfort of a room or structure.
EFFECT: invention enables to create a wall coating, which provides acoustic comfort, that is, reducing and optimising reflected sound component.
