FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing highly reactive homopolymers or copolymers of isobutylene with content of terminal vinylidene double bonds per polyisobutene chain end of at least 50 mol% in terms of ends of separate chains of polyisobutylene macromolecules. Isobutylene or isobutylene-containing mixture of monomers is polymerised in presence of a Lewis acid or their complexes with at least one donor and at least one initiator. Donor is an organic compound with an ether functional group or a carboxylic ester functional group. Initiator is organic sulfonic acids of formula Z-SO3H. Also described is isobutylene of general formula (I).
EFFECT: obtaining highly reactive isobutene homopolymers or copolymers with content of content of terminal vinylidene double bonds per polyisobutene chain end of at least 50 mol% with simultaneously narrow molecular weight distribution in an acceptable range of values of molecular weight.
