SUBSTANCE: invention relates to selecting a type of the common uplink channel in a wireless communication network when receiving conflicting instructions. For this purpose a method comprises the steps of: attempting to obtain a resource via the common channel of the first type for uplink transmission of information in accordance with the first received instruction; receiving the second instruction to execute any uplink transmission via the common channel of the second type; determination of if there is any information to be transmitted, and if not, stop attempting to obtain a resource via the common channel of the first type.

EFFECT: technical result is resolving a conflict between an independent HS-DPCCH transmission and a RACH return without affecting the total operation of the network.
