FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and concerns analysis of one or more glycated hemoglobins in biological sample. Method of analysis is performed by capillary electrophoresis of one or several glycated hemoglobins in biological sample, wherein said glycated hemoglobin or hemoglobins include at least one beta-globin chain, including glucose residue, attached to amino acid in N-end position of said beta-globin chain. Said method involves use of buffer composition, containing at least one compound, which specifically forms complex with residue or residues of glucose, attached to amino acid in N-end position of glycated hemoglobins in biological sample, and provides formation of several negative electric charges at alkali pH values on said glycated hemoglobin or hemoglobins, where said compound is selected from 3-carboxyphenylboronic acid, 3,4-dicarboxyphenylboronic acid, and 3,5-dicarboxyphenylboronic acid. Invention involves application of method for diagnosing diabetes in human or other mammal and/or monitoring of glycemic balance. Invention concerns kit for analysis and its application. Invention also concerns use of compounds: 3-carboxyphenylboronic acid. 3,4-dicarboxyphenylboronic acid, and 3,5-dicarboxyphenylboronic acid for separation of one or more of said glycated hemoglobins.
EFFECT: present invention enables reliable separation of glycated hemoglobins, HbA1c in particular, from other hemoglobins of abnormal types, mixed types (labile, acetylated, carbamylated types) and other minor fractions (especially from HbA1a and HbA1b), present in biological samples.
