FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a wearable device and a method for determining the level of glycated haemoglobin. Biological tissues of the user are exposed to a light source emitting waves of at least two different lengths. At least one photoplethysmographic (PPG) sensor detects PPG signals from user tissues at said at least two different wavelengths in reflection mode. Detected PPG signals are converted from the time domain to the frequency domain, features of the PPG signals in the time and frequency domains are extracted and an event occurring in the daily activities of the user is determined, in which blood component values change. Identifying fast and slowly changing signs, respectively, characterizing fast and slowly changing blood components, forming a set of quickly and slowly changing signs of PPG-signals and determining the level of glycated haemoglobin in blood of the user.
EFFECT: permanent control of glycated haemoglobin level and possibility of prevention, detection and control of course of malfunctions in organism, in particular microvascular complications associated with diabetes.
