FIELD: metal processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cold-rolled strip, made from aluminium alloy AlMg, as well as to a method for its production and can be used for making vehicle components, in particular body parts and its component parts thereof. Strip is made from aluminium alloy of system AlMg, comprising following components, wt%: Si ≤ 0.2, Fe ≤ 0.35, Cu ≤ 0.15, 0.2 ≤ Mn ≤ 0.35, 4.1 ≤ Mg ≤ 4.5, Cr ≤ 0.1, Zn ≤ 0.25, Ti ≤ 0.1, balance is Al and unavoidable impurities making up not more than 0.05 wt% separately and not more than 0.15 wt% in total, wherein strip of aluminium alloy has a recrystallised microstructure with average grain size from 15 to 30 mcm. Method of making strip comprises casting an ingot, its homogenisation at 480–550 °C for at least 0.5 hours, hot rolling at temperature of 280–500 °C, cold rolling of strip to final thickness at rolling from 40 % to 70 % or 50 % to 60 % or to intermediate thickness with intermediate annealing at 300–500 °C, and then to final thickness, and soft annealing of finished rolled strip at 300–500 °C in a furnace of continuous action.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at creation of single-layer strip from aluminium alloy, that is sufficiently resistant to intercrystalline corrosion and, nevertheless, is a well formed, so that sufficiently strong parts made by deep drawing with large surface area can be obtained.
