FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to development of aluminum-based alloy for making aerosol cans. Alloy contains ingredients in the following ratio, wt%: iron 0.21–0.25, silicon 0.08–0.10, magnesium 0.07–0.27, manganese 0.06–0.24, titanium 0.01–0.02, zinc 0.001 to less 0.02, copper 0.0001–0.03, aluminum and unavoidable impurities – balance, wherein total content of impurities in alloy is limited in range of 0.06–0.15 wt%, and ratio of content of manganese to silicon content is from 0.6 to 3.0.
EFFECT: obtaining aerosol cans with lower weight, while maintaining strength characteristics, plasticity and corrosion resistance.
