SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and specifically to a method and apparatus for mapping between a random access parameter and a resource. Method mapping includes: obtaining a list of random access parameters and obtaining an index number of a parameter in list of random access parameters; obtaining a list of resources and mapping between random access parameter and resource of common enhanced dedicated channel in list of resources according to obtained index number of random access parameter and total amount of resources in obtained list of resources, so that a network side device determines according to random access parameter sent by UE, if corresponding resource of common enhanced dedicated channel is available.

EFFECT: invention solves problem of relatively low efficiency of random access by that mapping can be set between a signature and a default resource of a common E-DCH.
