FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of vehicles engines, for example ships. Disclosed is engine control method, including engine protection adjustment identification, corresponding to said engine protection configuration. Engine protection adjustment includes, at least three elements: threshold value, unique message, action or emergency warning. Displaying said engine protection adjustment to operator by means of interface, where interface includes control panel and/or computing device, receiving instruction, corresponding to revised engine protection adjustment. Method also includes update of engine protection configuration according to said instruction for provision of revised engine protection adjustment compliance in response to reception of instruction, corresponding to revised engine protection adjustment.
EFFECT: technical result is expansion of engines controllers functional capabilities so, that emergency alarm functions were arranged in equipment, which is physically separated from other modules.
