SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the computing control systems. Method of configuring a master device in a process control enterprise for automatic execution of an action consists in the following. Set of preset stages and a workflow pattern are generated on the master device, which contains a sequence of one or more steps to be performed by the said master device. Said sequence includes user selection of several steps from set of preset stages. Master of the working process template is created on the master device on the said master device. Generating, at the master device, a trigger condition for automatically starting said instance of the work process. Said trigger condition is detected and sequence is performed on said master computing device from said one or more steps in response to detection of starting condition. Also disclosed is a process control system, which includes said method of configuring a master device.

EFFECT: technical result consists in possibility of quick configuration of master system for automatic performance of actions in response to changes.
