SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a master batch of diene elastomer and silica, as well as to use of said master batch in production of compositions based on diene rubber, reinforced with inorganic filler, meant for making tyres or intermediate products for tyres, in particular treads for said tyres. Method includes following steps: preparation of at least one silica dispersion in water, bringing into contact and mixing latex elastomer and aqueous dispersion of silica in presence of at least one salt of bivalent zinc to obtain coagulate, extracting coagulate, drying extracted coagulate to obtain a master batch. Molar content of zinc cations, defined as number of moles of zinc cations of zinc salt per unit surface area of silica, ranges from 1.19×10-6 to 5.62×10-6 mol/m2.
EFFECT: method enables to achieve good level of output product with simultaneous monitoring of content of filler, added in advance, and good dispersion of filler in elastomer matrix.
