FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises sorption of platinum (II, IV) and iron (III) and subsequent desorption of said ions from solutions. The sorption is carried out under static conditions by saturating the ion exchanger with the solution for 6 hours. At the same time, the transition of platinum (II, IV) and iron (III) into the ion exchanger phase occurs. Iron desorption is carried out by means of 0.01M HCl solution at pH = 2 for 6 hours at the temperature of 50°C. Platinum desorption is carried out by means of thiourea solution for 6 hours at the temperature of 18°C. Platinum and iron are desorbed at different stages of the experiment.
EFFECT: separating platinum from iron, increasing the degree of metal ions extraction, reducing the labour input of the separation process.
