FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of producing aqueous resinous dispersions used in coating by electrophoretic deposition. Method involves reaction of a first aqueous resinous dispersion with a second aqueous resinous dispersion. First aqueous resinous dispersion contains a polymer, contains a cationic salt group and active hydrogen, and a zinc (II) amidine complex. Second aqueous resinous dispersion contains a polymer, contains a cationic salt group and active hydrogen, and at least partially blocked polyisocyanate.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain stable aqueous resinous dispersions containing a polymer, contains a cationic salt group and active hydrogen, zinc (II) amidine complex and partially blocked polyisocyanate, which is chosen so that aqueous resinous dispersion hardens at temperature of 160 °C or lower.
