FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to passivating fine aluminium powder. Method involves thermal treatment and further cooling of the powder, herewith the aluminium powder is heated to the passivation temperature of 200–350 °C and thermal treatment of the aluminium powder is performed in air with the humidity of 8–12 g/m3 for 30–150 minutes.
EFFECT: provided is formation on the powder surface of particles of an oxide film of Al2O3 while maintaining the content of active aluminium in the powder over 98 %.
