FIELD: chemical industry; other industries; methods of production of the composite material Al2О3-Al.
SUBSTANCE: invention is pertaining to the production process of composite materials and may be used for production of strong, wear-resistant products and also for manufacture of the abrasive tools. For production of the composite material Al2O3 aluminum powder consisting of thelaminate particles was exposed to the thermal treatment in the open air at the temperature of 220-250°С for 2-3 hours for removal of the stearinic coating from the surface of its particles and mixed with the water solution of the water glass taken in the amount of 3-15 mass % in terms of the dry residue of the material. The mixture was dried up to the complete removal of moisture and molded from it the workpiece under pressure of 620-700 MPa. Workpiece was heated UP by the air heat-carrier medium to the temperature of 610-650°С for initiation of drying up process and was aged at this temperature for 1-5 hours, after that the product was cooled in the open air at the room temperature. Density of the products - 2.15-2.50 g/cm3, transverse strength - 320-370 MPa, Brinell hardness number - 47-55. Technical result of the invention is the increased strength and hardness of the material and simplification of the method of its production.
EFFECT: invention ensures the increased strength and hardness of the material, simplification of the method of its production.
