SUBSTANCE: suggested invention relates to power industry and can be used to determine angle between voltages and currents at line ends in case of nonsynchronised measurements at its both ends, and to clarify place of short circuit in power transmission lines due to making of the calculated synchronisation of measurements at its both ends. The synchronisation is made by rotation of the vectors of complex values of currents and voltages at one end of the line by calculated angle.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of place determination of the damage, this is achieved by consideration of actual and supposed component complex values of voltages and currents by the calculated synchronisation at line ends.
