FIELD: tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diamond tools production, which effectively performs parts processing in self-sharpening mode. Method involves thermal treatment of synthetic diamond powders and diamond tool formation from processed diamond powders, wherein diamond powders used are synthetic diamond powders, containing transcrystalline metal inclusions in amount of up to 1.5 wt%, performing heat treatment in shielding atmosphere at transcrystalline metal inclusions into liquid phase transition temperature until melt grains extraction on surface and further cooling at ambient temperature for formation of coating in form of drops from melt.
EFFECT: technical result is production of diamond tool with optimum of diamond grains holding capacity by binder and grinding diamond tool self-sharpening.
