FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of abrasive machining and can be used in the manufacture of diamond tools intended for machining predominantly highly hard-to-work materials, in particular ceramics, and hard alloys, building materials, natural and artificial stones. Diamond tool comprises a housing with a working layer fixed on it, including a metal bundle and coated diamond grains. Coating is made of graphene, having a layered structure, and contains at least one layer deposited on at least part of the surface of the diamond grain.
EFFECT: as a result, the service life of the tool is increased and the quality of processing is improved by reducing heat generation in the cutting zone and transferring it to the binder material.
