FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in power engineering, chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry for mixing of different liquids and granular substances. Vortex hydrodynamic mixer comprises housing with inlet and outlet branch pipes and arranged in it swirler. Housing is made in form of two truncated cones with vertices, directed towards each other, connected by cylindrical part, central channel shape has successive narrowing, neck and diverging, before narrowing part swirler with bushing is installed, having central channel and ending with cone, and after channel diverging part perforated diaphragm is installed. Swirler and perforated diaphragm are installed with possibility of axial movement. Swirler is represented by several cavitators, arranged at angle to inlet branch pipe and around it, perforated diaphragm is equipped with fairing, centrally arranged and directed towards swirler. Water is pulsed supplied into mixer under pressure at frequency of 1–5 Hz.

EFFECT: invention provides higher quality of grain particles with water mixing in order to produce stratification resistant flour solution.
