FIELD: power engineering, chemical, food and pharmaceutical industries. SUBSTANCE: proposed emulsifier comprises shell accommodating vortex generator and having inlet and outlet pipes. Shell is made in form of two truncated cones whose apices face each other and are connected by cylindrical portion. Central channel, as viewed in profile, has, arranged in series, constricted portion, throat and expanded portion. Upstream of constricted portion vortex generator is mounted. Vortex generator is provided with sleeve having central passage and terminating in taper. Downstream of expanded portion of central channel perforated diaphragm is arranged. Latter has radially extending passage terminating in centrally located opening oriented so as to face vortex generator. Moreover, vortex generator and perforated diaphragm are axially movable. EFFECT: proposed emulsifier is multipurpose one and can be used wherever it is necessary to prepare finely dispersed emulsions in liquid/liquid and liquid/gas systems. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 1 tbl
