SUBSTANCE: acetabulum is made free from scar tissues. Transtrochanteric osteotomy of the femur is performed at the level of the lower pole of the cervix with simultaneous cutting of the greater trochanter with the cervix. Holding the proximal fragment of the femur, lateral displacement and valgus deviation of the distal fragment of the femur is carried out. The femur fragments are fixed in the specified position using the external fixation device and connected by means of an extramedullary plate. The external fixation device is secured to the wing of the ilium and the distal end of the femur, freeing the proximal end of the femur from external fixation device. Open reduction of the proximal end of the femur in the acetabulum is performed, providing alignment of the bearing surface of the proximal end of the femur in the acetabulum. The achieved position is stabilized, and the hip joint is unloaded by the external fixation device. Postoperatively, development of passive movements in the hip joint is performed. The external fixation device is dismantled after consolidation of the femur fragments and stabilization of the hip joint. The hip joint is fixed by a removable plaster cast.

EFFECT: method allows creation a favorable geometric relations in the hip joint, shortened patient's stay in the external fixation device.
