In method of enriching database query responses with data from external data source, a database query is processed, wherein query includes parameters for selection of data from data sources, including identified logical objects, for which must be retrieved data values. Method includes determining that values for a first subset of identified logical objects are available from first database, and determining that values for a second subset of objects are inaccessible from first database. Extracting from first database values for first subset of objects. Generating a request to retrieve values for second subset of objects from second data base as a response to detection of enrichment parameter. Generating an enriched response for database query, including values for first subset of objects from first database and values for second subset of objects from second database.

EFFECT: high efficiency of using computer resources by providing technology of operation with internal and external databases.
