FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to gastroenterology and may be used to determine the generalization of malignant process after surgical treatment of pancreas head cancer. To do this, the activity of 2-macroglobulin universal inhibitor is determined in the patient's blood plasma on the 15th day after pancreatoduodenectomy. If the value of this index is from 10.57 IU/ml to 12.37 IU/ml, development of malignant process generalization is predicted within 2.5-6 months after surgery. When the value is from 5.18 IU/ml to 5.98 IU/ml postoperative course without generalization process is predicted for 12 months.

EFFECT: prediction method allowing to predict the pathological process direction in case of pancreas head cancer and to carry out early detection of malignant process generalization terms.
