FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used determine the flow rate of a variety of fluids by means of ultrasonic signals. Core of the invention is that ultrasonic signal coupling assembly comprises ultrasonic transducers, attached to one or more ultrasonic couplers, configured to be coupled to an exterior surface of a pipe. Height of the ultrasonic signal coupler or couplers is greater than a thickness of the pipe by a factor of about five or more, and a length of the ultrasonic signal coupler or couplers is greater than the height of the ultrasonic signal coupler or couplers.

EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of determining the flow rate of fluids.
