FIELD: fire safety; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-retardant coatings for wooden surfaces operated in closed conditions. Described is a crude mixture for making fireproof coating of wood, which contains liquid glass, mineral filler and silicon-containing component, in which mineral filler and silicon-containing component are black shales with following chemical composition, wt%: SiO2 – 59.1, TiO2 – 0.95, Al2O3 – 16.55, Fe2O3 – 2.75, FeO – 4.6, CaO – 1.83, MgO – 3.15, MnO – 0.09, K2O – 2.6, Na2O – 1.45, P2O5 – 0.21, CO2 – 2.6, binder used is liquid glass from microsilica with low density 1.25–1.3 g/cm3, and additionally contains a foaming agent "PO-6", which is an aqueous solution of triethanolamine salts of primary alkyl sulphates with stabilising additives, with following content of components, wt%: liquid glass – 73–89; foaming agent "PO-6" – 1–2; black shales – 10–25.
EFFECT: creation of a crude mixture for producing a fireproof coating of high quality.
