RECOVERED DEHYDROGENATION CATALYST, DEMONSTRATING SLOW LOSS OF ACTIVITY COMPARED TO FRESH CATALYST Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC C07C5/333

Abstract RU 2613970 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for dehydrogenation of alkane or alkyl aromatic compounds. The method includes: contacting in fluidised bed an alkane compound or an alkyl aromatic compound and a regenerated dehydrogenation catalyst, wherin this regenerated dehydrogenation catalyst is prepared by: (a) obtaining a dehydrogenation catalyst comprising platinum and gallium on the support based on aluminium oxide, where the present dehydrogenation catalyst was previously fresh, but became at least partially deactivated; (b) impregnating of at least partially deactivated dehydrogenation catalyst with platinum salt solution thus obtaining impregnated dehydrogenation catalyst; and (c) calcination of impregnated dehydrogenation catalyst at a temperature ranging from 400°C to 1000°C. Wherein the steps (b) and (c) are carried out under conditions suitable for the formation of the regenerated dehydrogenation catalyst having: (i) a platinum content varying from 1 part per million based on the weight of catalyst to 500 parts per million based on the weight of the catalyst; (Ii) a gallium content varying from 0.2 wt % to 2.0 wt %; and (iii) the ratio between platinum and gallium varying from 1:20000 to 1: 4; wherein the regenerated dehydrogenation catalyst further demonstrates the retention of platinum greater than or equal to retention of platinum by fresh dehydrogenation catalyst after one another and used in the same or another, but identical dehydrogenation process. T.

EFFECT: invention relates to a catalyst composition and a method for preparing catalyst and the present method enables efficient re-use of catalyst.
