SUBSTANCE: image on the television screen is obtained in the method for recognising the television station logo . For each standard logo an area is selected to determine the coincidence of the standard logo, corresponding to the position information of the standard logo. The television station logo is recognized on the image of the television screen on the basis of the coincidence determination result of the corresponding standard logos with the respective areas to determine the coincidence . It is detected, whether the basic information of the standard logo is updated or not, wherein the basic information may include a standard television station logo, position information of the standard television station logo, and the threshold for determining coincidence of the standard television station logo. And, if it is detected that update has been made, the basic information of the standard television station logo is downloaded from the server and updated.
EFFECT: increase of velocity for recognising the logos of the television stations by reducing the field for determining the coincidences.
