FIELD: refrigerating equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to refrigerating units, in which refrigerating compressors are used. Double-acting refrigerating compressor contains piston 7, freely installed with possibility of directed movement with support on two opposite to each other and mutually stationary cylinder sections 41, 42. Piston has flow through channel 8 running inside it, wherein each cylinder section 41, 42 and piston 7 along flow through channel 8 have, at least, by one check valve 10, 11, 12. Check valves 10, 11, 12 are arranged so, that their flow direction is directed equally. Cylinder sections 41, 42 are spaced apart so, that piston 7 area is freely accessible outside of cylinder sections 41, 42. From outside one of cylinder sections 41, 42 is surrounded with piston 7. Piston 7 between low-pressure compression surface and high-pressure compression surface has auxiliary compression surface, which together with forming low pressure working volume 4 cylinder section 41, 42 forms auxiliary volume 5, which is made so, that to create counteracting motive force restoring force during piston stroke under action of driving force. Sealing costs are reduced.
EFFECT: compression power is increased.
