FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: for their determination only the intake diving depths of the inventive device, measured by sonar, are used in the process of its immersion to the given horizon and its rise to the water surface, as well as new formular dependences are used. In addition, in the inventive method and the device over the prior art the expansion of their functionality is provided by defining geodetic coordinates of the immersion depth measurement locations by the transducer with the required accuracy in the determination of these amendments, and, therefore, shooting the bottom topography of the support hydrographic items in the waters is provided to calibrate the sounder in the shooting waters to ensure the uniformity of measurements. The claimed device is provided with a receiver of the satellite radio navigation system GPS, which antenna is mounted on the upper end of the base, a small-sized integrated marine navigation system "KAMA" mounted in the gimbals, a computing unit determining the required geodetic coordinates of measuring the intake diving depths of the claimed device.

EFFECT: simplification of the process determining the amendments as compared to the analog.
