SUBSTANCE: method for cultivating vegetable crops on hydroponics comprises sowing the seeds in a seedling pot with mineral wool, impregnated with a nutrient solution. After germination, the seedling pot with seedlings is transferred to a mat. The pot is periodically impregnated with the nutrient solution. The plant stem is fixed on a flexible vertical string. When the plant reaches the length of over 2 m, the string together with the plant fixed thereon is lowered and laid along the mat. Before laying, obsolete leaves are torn off the plant. The device for growing contains the trough-shaped gutter with the mat and the seedling pots with mineral wool installed thereon, and the suspensions system. The gutter is made with bilateral flangings and is installed bottom up. The outer surface of the bottom is made in the form of alternating projections. The seedling pots with mineral wool are equipped with strings. The strings are wound on coils. The coil holders are mounted on longitudinal trellis under the carrier beam of the greenhouse roof. The trough-shaped gutter is made integral along the entire greenhouse length, or is joined overlap with one another. The gutter is equipped on one side with a deaf butt plug, and on the other side - with the plug with an opening for connection to the drainage system.

EFFECT: increasing the yield per square metre of usable area.
