FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for user warning about the beginning of hypoglycemia is implemented via a portable device. At that, physiological tremor signal is received from a portable transmitter worn by the user; the physiological tremor signal is analyzed during the first time period to determine the tremor signal power by the analyzing module, and a warning is warned based on the detected physiological tremor signal change only, indicating the beginning of hypoglycemia. The beginning of hypoglycemia corresponds to blood glucose level (BGL) decrease below 5 mmol/l. The observed change in physiological tremor signal represents an at least 50% increase in signal tremor power relative to the reference value. The worn device also comprises a memory and a processor operably coupled to the memory and configured to alert the user of early hypoglycaemia.
EFFECT: continuous non-invasive early hypoglycemia monitoring during day and night via a portable and compact worn device, including the time when the user is awake and performs typical actions, repeated day after day.
