FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composite polymer antifriction material comprises components in the following ratio, wt %: carbon fiber (9.2-42.8) as a fibre filler and randomly arranged carbon nanotubes (0.02-0.74), polyphenylsulphide (the rest is up to 100). The nanotubes are made single-layer or multi-layer, with 2-70 layers, or interleaved, rolled graphite planes with 2-70 layers. The external diameter of the carbon nanotubes ranges from 0.5 to 100 nm and their length ranges from 0.5 to 77 mcm.
EFFECT: increased service life of the sleeve of rail transpot lever braking system due to significant reduction in the intensity of linear wear of the working sliding layer during friction against polished steel pair made of steel 40X, reduced friction coefficient, maintaining friction coefficient stability level, maintaining tensile stress at break at given level, maintaining Charpy impact strength on samples without dent while maintaining a given ultimate compression strength.
