FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for measuring magnetic induction thickness of the dielectric coating comprises excitating the sensor magnetic field consisting of the coaxially arranged measuring and compensating magnetic transformers, a sensor assembly on the dielectric coating surface so that the measuring sensor transformer generates the magnetic field relative to the surface of the measured dielectric coating, registering and enhancing the differential signal change of the measuring and compensating magnetic transformers due to distortion of the magnetic field, and determining the dielectric coating thickness. The sensor is oriented so that its measuring transformer generates the magnetic field parallel to the surface of the measured dielectric coating, the ratio of the signals is measured at the input and the output of the compensating magnetic transformer, the error compensation of the measured dielectric coating thickness is carried out based on the ratio value of the signals. The method is performed by the device of magnetic induction measuring the dielectric coating thickness.

EFFECT: improving the accuracy of measuring the layer thickness of the polymer composite materials, expanding the application field and increasing the evaluation result reliability of the technical and operational state for complex structures and their elements made of polymer composite materials.
