SUBSTANCE: method for the production of synthesis gas involves a sluice loading material, the low-temperature gasification on a working surface located in the plasma chemical reactor, a gas heater having a porous coarse heat conducting medium inside the high-temperature gasification on the surface of molten slag via free-burning arc arc plasma generator, a jet of the plasma torch and jet-melting plasmatron, purification and quenching synthesis gas and molten slag draining. The device comprises a feeder, a gas heater with a porous heat-conducting medium inside a plasma chemical reactor plasma arc generator apparatus quenching and cleaning synthesis gas, slag receiver, wherein a gas heater located in the plasma chemical reactor and contains a coarse porous medium.
