FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of producing aluminium matrix composite material containing a matrix of aluminium or aluminium alloy and filler of particles of boric powder material and tungsten powder, comprises preparing of a base composition mixture of matrix material powder with filler powders. Powder obtained by mechanical mixing of boric material powder is used as a filler, preferably of boron carbide or boron nitride with an average particle size of 0.5-5 microns in an amount of 5-15 wt % of the base composition mixture ratio with a tungsten powder with an average particle size of 0.1-1 microns in an amount of 15-20 wt % of the base composition mixture ratio, mechanical mixing of the obtained filler with aluminium powder or its alloy with an average particle size up to 100 microns in an amount up to 100 wt % of the base composition mixture ratio for 0.5-6 hours at a speed of 10-60 rev/min, cold pressing of the resulting base composition mixture at a pressure up to 1000 MPa in an ultrasonic hydraulic press in a closed rigid press mould with a force sufficient to achieve the required pressure in a fixed area of hydraulic product cross-section, with application of ultrasonic mechanical vibrations to the press mould with a vibration rate of 18-24 kHz and a vibrational displacement amplitude of press mould forming surfaces of 1-10 microns.
EFFECT: invention is designed to develop composite material with a small specific weight, high thermal conductivity, gamma and neutron absorptivity and mechanical properties.
