SUBSTANCE: method involves the raw material soaking in the presence of a proteolytic enzyme preparation, liming, pelt deliming in the presence of 7% aqueous solution of lactic acid in an amount of 5.0-6.0 wt % at a fluid ratio of 0.1-0.2, softening, the pelt pickling in the presence of oiling emulsion in an amount of 0.4-0.5 wt % of the sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose, modified with 40% aqueous solution of glutaraldehyde at a ratio of 1:(0.05-0.09) in an amount of 0.05-0.06 wt % at a fluid ratio of 0.1-0.2, glutaraldehyde tanning in the presence of a polymeric tanning agent at a flow rate 3.0-4.0 wt %, a retanning process of planed leather with synthetic tanning agents, dyeing and oiling in one bath, washing, fixation with 4% aqueous solution of organic acid in the presence of the cationic polyelectrolyte at their consumption, respectively, 5.0-6.0 wt % and 0.4-0.5 wt % and the semi-finished product finishing. Retanning with synthetic tanning agents is carried out in two stages in the presence of oiling emulsion in an amount of 3.0-4.0 wt % on each of them at synthetic tanning agents consumption 5.0-7.0 wt % at the first stage and 25,0-27,0 wt % - at the second stage.

EFFECT: method of leather for upholstery production provides increased thermal stability and performance properties of leather for upholstery.
