FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cylinder group comprises a piston with rings placed thereon, in contact with the cylinder, which has a working surface microtopography of helical lines arranged in uniformly alternating fragments, each of which consists of grooves with conjugate flat parallel to the cylinder axis portion. Applying the microrelief zone is located in the middle of the height of the cylinder portion, which is about one-third of the height of the cylinder, and the depth of the grooves is variable, gradually decreasing from the maximum value in the middle of the zone of application microrelief to a minimum value along its border on both sides of the middle zone of application microrelief in direction of the cylinder axis.
EFFECT: thanks to such features, which present a place of negotiation and the application of the depth of the microrelief to distribution cylinder height of its wall temperature, gas pressure in the cylinder during compression, as well as the speed and acceleration of the piston with rings, achieved an increase of resource and energy efficiency of reciprocating engines by reducing oil consumption and maintain a predetermined level of charge of the power and the starting properties of the engine, especially a diesel engine, the maximum gas pressure in the compression cylinder.
