FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises: transfering of data allowing to conduct vehicle diagnostics from a vehicle to a service center. Possible malfunctions of vehicle functional units are identified in the service center, level of operating characteristics reduction is monitored, and data on the vehicle is transmitted. Wherein data exchange between the vehicle and the service center is carried out by means of a public telecommunication means or leased communication lines from the device which is a microcomputer comprising a processor, a USB-connector, a memory, a slot for a removable memory card, a GSM- and a GPS-modules with antennas connected via USB-connector to the vehicle's OBD-connector. Data transmitted to the service center allows for adaptation and coding of electronic systems and units, and basic configuration of the vehicle electronic devices.
EFFECT: remote control of electronic systems of motor vehicles.
