METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING IMAGES THROUGH COMMUNICATION CHANNEL Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H04N19/66 H04N19/90 H04N19/15

Abstract RU 2616562 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: method of transmitting images through the communication channel, including the original image conversion on the transmitter side, presented in the BMP format in the compressed image data in the FIC format by compressing the original image with the fractal method, the transmission of the received data through the communication channel, the recovery of the image in the BMP format on the receiving side of the compressed image data in the FIC format, wherein the original image in the BMP format is divided into two files unequal by volume on the transmitting side before compressing, then each file is separately compressed with the said fractal method, thereby two files of the compressed image in the FIC format are obtained, and then stegano-nesting of the smaller file into the bigger one is performed, the received file is transmitted through the said communication channel, and the extraction of the attached file is perfromed on the receiving side, each part of the image in the BMP format is restored, respectively, from each file, and the restored parts of the image are connected together.

EFFECT: improving quality and compression ratio.
