FIELD: computer equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the computer equipment. Method of quasi-optimal transmission of digital compressed images on a communication channel with interference, in which the operation of a communication channel is simulated when transmitting digital compressed images; generating plurality of dependencies of image quality measure from noise level for available versions of use of signal-code structures and compression algorithms; measuring current noise level; selecting a quasi-optimal version of transmitting images by a brute force method; compressing the frame-by-frame video stream; modulating signal containing compressed digital frame video stream and used quasi-optimal version; transmitting a signal over a radio channel; receiving a signal from a radio channel; demodulating and decompressing based on the quasi-optimal version used during transmission, wherein imitating modelling is used for the image quality measure beforehand at different levels of interference; selecting a quasi-optimal compression algorithm and a signal-code structure from the available set of options based on the criterion of maximum image quality at the current noise level.

EFFECT: technical result is improved quality of transmitting digital compressed images over a communication channel with interference.
