FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for preparing a compound of formula (1), wherein R1 and R2 represent an optionally substituted alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, or R1 and R2 together with carbon atom (to which they are binded) form an optionally substituted cycloalkyl group having 3 to 10 carbon atoms, X represents a halogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an optionally substituted alkoxy group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, n is an integer from 0 to 4, Y represents a halogen atom, an optionally substituted alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or an optionally substituted alkoxy group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and m is an integer from 0 to 6, comprising reacting of a compound (represented by the formula (2) with hydrogen.
EFFECT: invention provides a simple and effective way of mass-production of a derivative of 4,4-difluoro-3,4-dihydroisoquinolin of the formula (1), which is useful as an agricultural and horticultural microbicide.
