FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: central hole is drilled in the rod of a bolt or stud while implementing the claimed method for controlling the tightening level of bolts or studs, then optic-fiber is tightly secured into the central hole with the Bragg reflective grating-filter formed therein, and the tightening level in the tightening process and in the subsequent operation is measured according to the setting wavelength shift of the Bragg grating-filter in the reflected or transmitted light of the wideband (non-monochromatic) radiation source.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of controlling the tightening level of a bolt or stud both in the product assembling process and its operation and expanding the range of the controlled bolt materials.
