SUBSTANCE: method for decoding a frame of the encoded audio signal, wherein the encoded audio signal is generated by the audio encoder, the method comprises: extracting the first parameter from the encoded audio signal, wherein the first parameter represents the encoding mode for the frame; extracting the second parameter from the encoded audio signal; starting either the first decoding mode or the second decoding mode based on the first parameter value; generating a preliminary audio signal from the encoded audio signal when operating in either the first decoding mode or in the second decoding mode; and filtering the preliminary audio signal with a pitch filter. Thus when filtering, the second parameter is used for selective connecting or disconnecting the pitch filter, and the second parameter is different from the said first parameter.
EFFECT: attenuating the interharmonic noise.
