SUBSTANCE: technical result is achieved by decoding a bitstream signal as a temporary audio signal according to an encoding mode selected from a plurality of encoding modes, wherein the multiple coding modes include code-excited linear prediction, CELP, a coding mode and a transform coding mode, and post-filtering by applying a tone amplification filter to the temporary audio signal to obtain a temporary audio signal, wherein the post-filtering step is selectively skipped in response to the post-filtering information encoded in the bitstream signal, wherein the post-filtering information indicates a decision at the encoder side on whether or not to skip the post-filtering step, according to which the post-filtering information can keep the post-filtering step skipped when switching the selected encoding mode to the encoding mode, where the post-filtering step is active.
EFFECT: high perceived accuracy of reproducing an audio signal.
